When Mike steps into the UFC Octagon this Saturday June 20 against Tomasz Drwal, it will be as an MFS Black Belt. This promotion is a huge accomplishment. Mike Ciesnolevicz is seizing the day once again. The former International Fight League mainstay is stepping in for an injured Eric Schafer to face Tomasz Drwal at the season nine finale of “The Ultimate Fighter” on June 20 in Las Vegas.

A source close to Schafer’s camp on Tuesday told MMAWeekly.com a rib injury had forced his withdrawal from the fight. NWI.com was the first to report the news. The replacement is Ciesnolevicz’s second fill-in for an injured fighter, after replacing Justin McCully to make his Octagon debut against Neil Grove at UFC 95. He won by heel hook in the first round.

Following the fight, Ciesnolevicz took some time off to nurse a knee problem of his own, but MMAWeekly.com sources say he is on the mend and will be ready for the June fight.
Ciesnolevicz is currently riding a four-fight win streak and is 17-3 as a professional.
